How to Get the Best Results From Acne Treatment

acne treatment
Acne treatment is a lengthy process which requires endurance and consistency on the patient’s part. Acne treatment is not painful at all but it is a time taking process. The biggest mistake that people make is that as soon as they start getting some result they discontinue the treatment. This actually further worsens the acne condition.

Proper skin care plays a vital role in acne treatment. It helps to reduce and control the acne problem. The following are a few guidelines that will help you to get maximum results during acne treatment.

The first thing which should be remembered and followed at all costs is that you should not pick or squeeze your pimples. It will make acne worse and may cause inflammation on the skin.

• Do not over scrub your skin. Over scrubbing can further aggravate the acne by causing inflammation. Instead it is advised to wash your face twice a day with gentle face wash and pat dry. It will help to keep the acne under control.

• Oily hair can further aggravate acne. If you have oily hair you should keep it off your face and wash your hair daily.

• Avoid using hair products like pomades, gels, anti frizz lotions and sprays. Although these things are not applied on the skin directly, when hair falls on your face, whatever is applied on hair gets transferred on the face thus sometimes causing acne.

• Sometimes sport clothes can cause and aggravate acne. If you are suffering from acne then it is advised to wear cotton cloths under sport clothes to avoid direct skin contact.

• During the acne treatment you should try not to use cosmetics on your skin. If you cannot go without make up than use noncomedogenic cosmetics as they do not clog the pores.

• Use medicines as and when directed by the dermatologist. Try not to change the quantity of acne medication according to your own will; this will further worsen the acne condition. Read the instructions properly and then follow it accordingly.

• Give acne medicines time to do their job. It normally takes 6 to 8 weeks to show improvement in acne depending on the skin condition. You can also ask your dermatologist that how much time is required for your acne treatment. And lastly you should not discontinue your treatment halfway.

• During acne treatment avoid excessive exposure to sunlight. Do not use tanning booths or sun lamps as they are of no help. Tanning can increase the risks of skin cancer. Some acne treatments increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sunlight.

If you follow all the instruction carefully along with your acne treatment you will get the best results. But if it does not work you should consult your dermatologist because in today’s world of medical advancement all types of acne are totally curable.

Cystic acne and your immune system

cystic acne
Cystic acne is a clear indication of a well functioning immune system. Concomitant with a well functioning immune system, cystic acne sores provide a means of aerosol and other means of natural vaccination from a variety of diseases. These two factors seem interrelated and may indicate that males with acne have a more adaptable immune system which is clearly adapted to inoculation and vaccination, through acne sores, from natural exogenous sources.

The ability to survive epidemics, immunity, both partial and complete from a variety of diseases, an immune system exposed to a great variety of exogenous disease causing viruses, bacteria and etc through acne sources and thus more adapted to combat the same through cross immunity and specific immunity and increasingly adaptive immunity mechanism, and related processes, can explain the survival benefit of acne in men with the resultant increasing ability to pass this survival mechanism to future generations through mere survival itself despite the disfiguring effects of cystic acne.

Proper skin care, a proper diet and exercise. I know it seems kind of obvious, but washing your skin twice daily and using the proper skin care items do wonders. Eating properly and exercising will also help clear up your cystic acne, as well as make you appear better all over. Eating properly doesn’t mean eating till you’re 100 pounds, either, but getting actual good nutrition.  If your acne is bad, and a month or two of skin care and diet doesn’t help, go see a dermatologist.

Some people experience a miracle when they use medication and formulas, for others, other prescriptions are needed. Also, try to see what triggers blemishes for example, if you’re stressed out, try to relax some more.  There are some foods which can aggravate acne by making your produce more sebum, you may want to avoid those foods if you figure out what they are. Keep in mind that your skin is not going to become clear over night, it’ll take months or years. Most likely if your acne is really bad, it won’t ever clear up completely, you’ll have to always keep it at bay with various products, and if you miss a day or two, some pimples will form.

Acne Skin Care Products – Should You Trust The Advertisements?

acne skin care products
It is always important to choose a good and recommended acne skin care product to clear your pimples and other skin related problem. There are many products which would cause the skin to look good and as well as damaging your skin. Some products are really dangerous in that it causes the skin to dry and become flaky.

There are also a few acne skin care products available in the market that can cause wrinkles and rashes on your skin. So it is always advisable to have a proper knowledge about the products you are using.

Well there are many advertisements which show their product to be good and also to be the best among all the products. You should not believe and wholly trust the products shown in the ads and buy it. The manufacturer’s main criteria would be to capture the maximum amount of consumers and improve their sales and hence their benefits as what they claimed should always be taken with a grain of salt.

They would always show their product to be the best product among all other product available in the market. So you should always consult a dermatologist for advice before using any acne product.

The main aim of the advertisements is to entice consumers to buy. They often show their products to be the best and highly effective thus I recommend to take their words with a grain of salt.

Most are true but there are some advertisements which can be misleading and you should consult a dermatologist first as the effectiveness of an acne product may also depend on your skin condition.

If you are afraid chemical based acne products may do more harm than good for your skin, then you might want to consider herbal based acne supplements. These are made from natural ingredients and have almost no side effects. It is becoming more and more popular especially among people with sensitive skin.

How To Choose The Right Acne Laser Treatments

acne laser treatment
Laser treatments for curing acne may seem like straight out of a science fiction novel but the way technology has progressed, it is no surprise that we have acne laser treatments at our disposal now. Some very modern technologies are used for acne treatments nowadays with laser surgery being one of them. But there is a flipside to treating acne in this manner.

http://sensibleacneadvice.com/

These methods are very expensive which most people cannot afford. Some of the most severe cases of acne are treated in this method only if there are no other options available. Even then you have to get the permission and recommendation of the dermatologist to use this form of acne treatment as there can be a lot of complications which can arise from this.

There are a few variations of this treatment to cure acne. The first type of laser treatments is used to target the sebaceous glands which are present just under the skin. These glands produce excess of oil which is responsible for causing acne. The other form of laser treatment is used to target the bacteria which are responsible for the inflammation of the skin. The advantages of the latter form of treatment are that the skin can also be smoothed down as a result of which there is acne scar removal as well.

For each procedure, there are different types of laser instruments used for the treatment. Every laser has a different approach for treatment. The very best thing about laser treatment methods is that they are painless. But the thing to remember out here is that most of the laser methods must be done over a period of multiple sessions. Since these are powerful rays which directly bore into the skin, the skin can get damaged over a period of time causing long term problems.
