Tips for acne free skin

secrets to acne free skin
6 Steps to Clear, Acne-Free Skin

Hundreds of medications, treatments, cleansers and cosmetics are available for people with acne, but the most important elements of an acne-fighting program won’t cost you a cent.

1. Nourish your skin by eating a healthy and balanced diet.

Most health care specialists agree that a healthy diet will benefit your skin. Cut down on caffeine, sugar and refined carbohydrates, all of which can activate the hormones that tell your sebaceous glands to produce more oil. Add more fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, juices and other healthy treats to your daily diet, and you’ll see in improvement in your skin.

2. Drink lots of water to maintain the skin’s elasticity.

Plenty of water is essential to the health of your skin. One of the main activities of the body’s self-healing system is to filter the blood, a job performed mostly by the kidneys, with help from the skin in the form of perspiration. This self-healing system removes the toxic wastes of metabolizing food and of other harmful substances that get into our bodies one way or another.

This purification system operates efficiently only if the volume of water flowing through it is sufficient to carry away the wastes. 6 to 8 glasses (64 fluid ounces) of water a day is the recommendation. To reach your quota, carry bottled water with you in your car, your purse, your briefcase—wherever you go.

Get the water habit, and your skin will thank you for it.

3. Exercise regularly for good circulation.

Get into a regular routine of exercise. Do it for at least half an hour, five days a week. Exercise improves your blood circulation, helping your body clear toxins from your system, including your skin. Better circulation also increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your skin. Exercise also relieves stress, which is a common cause of acne flare-ups. Last but not least, exercise releases endorphins, the “feel good” substance in your brain that puts a smile on your face—the best beauty secret of all.

4. Cleanse your face—then tone, moisturize, and exfoliate.

At night

* First remove your makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and a cotton ball.

* Then wash your face with lukewarm water and an oil-free, non-comedogenic (doesn’t block pores) cleanser.

* Pat (don’t rub) it dry with a soft towel.

* And apply an oil-free moisturizer.

In the morning

* Wash your face as directed above, then use an alcohol-free toner.

* Next apply moisturizer.

* Then apply makeup—all oil-free and non-comedogenic.

Once or twice a week use an exfoliator with alpha hydroxy acid or glycolic acid. This will aid in the shedding of dead skin cells, the “food” for the bacteria that cause pimples.

If you exercise during the day, you’ll need to wash your face a third time, immediately afterward.

5. Protect your skin from the sun and harsh weather.

One popular myth about acne is that tanning will clear it. It may seem so at first, but soon you will notice that your tanned skin becomes less pliable, making it less able to shed oil and dead skin cells, which clog your pores. Your acne will become worse, not better.

Always wear sun block with at least an SPF-15 UVA & UVB rating. If you’ll be outside in the sun for long, wear a wide-brimmed hat.

6. Get plenty of good-quality rest.

Your immune system requires energy to do its work, including the work of protecting your skin from acne. The deep sleep the brain needs for “recharging” comes several hours into the sleep cycle. That’s why a few hours here and there won’t do. Most people need at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Consider it beauty sleep.

If you make these 6 items part of your daily routine, you’ll look better, feel better, and have less need of expensive acne treatments and cosmetics.

Five Things To Know About Laser Acne Treatment For Beautiful Skin

acne treatment
Acne is a problem that is more difficult to live with these days. More adults have to deal with this than before. Treatment options are available that were not so prevalent years ago. Many of the treatments are showing success but others are not working so well. The secret to finding the right treatment is looking at the severity of the acne you have and your skin type. One such treatment option is the laser acne treatment.

Difficult Acne

A few lucky acne sufferers can treat their acne successfully with drugs or over-the-counter applications. Many are not so lucky and need to move past the simple medications and products to other options. While they are wasting time using products that are not working, they could be working on a more positive way to remove the acne and scars left behind with laser acne treatment.

Doctors Recommendation

A physician or dermatologist will know what treatment is best for your particular acne problems. A few doctors will recommend the laser acne treatment at the beginning. This laser treatment is a quick way to get rid of the acne before it becomes a permanent fixture in your life. Once the acne gets rooted into the skin, treatment will be harder to accomplish.

Laser Acne Treatment For Scars

The laser acne treatment for scaring is more popular today because of its success in giving a beautiful face to those who have suffered from acne for years. This laser treatment technique is being recommended by doctors for acne treatment as well as preventatives and removal of scars. Erbium laser treatment is effective in healing scars that acne leaves behind.

The Cost To You For Treatment

Laser treatments are best for acne but can be a little expensive. Scientific alternatives for acne need to be completed during the active period of the acne. The use of this treatment option involves the use of crystals made from aluminum hydroxide. They are utilized as an abrasive that removes the damaged layers of skin. The dead skin cells are removed. These skin cells are the same ones that cause acne to spread and can be a hindrance to laser treatment. Even though this treatment is effective, it is only used on acne that is severe and not on acne that has the possibility to spread over a large area. The Aluminum hydroxide crystals work best in areas like the neck and back. Those areas are the ones that are harder to reach and need a faster treatment.

Time And Patience

Treatment for acne requires a large amount of patience and time before visible signs of results are present. Laser acne treatment is the quickest way and most effective way to get rid of acne scars and the acne itself. The Aluminum hydroxide crystals are good for use on scars that are shallow and should not be used on deep acne scars. Laser treatment for more severe acne and scars is the best solution for permanent clearing. You’ll have skin looking beautiful again.

Using an Acne Forum to Find the Best Acne Cure

acne cure tips
If you suffer from various acne problems you are sure to look for the right treatment option to treat your acne. In addition to acne treating products, there are also many forums on the internet that prove effective in helping you cure acne.

There are many forums on the internet, which you have to browse through to find the best forum. However remember that when browsing, you are sure to find some negative opinions on certain matters.

This is because an option that worked for one person will not work effectively for another person. There are also some people on the forums, trying to sell their miracle cure either as their own product or as an affiliate marketer.

Basically, acne stems from various conditions and issues. You may find that poor diet, a change in the environment, stress and even mild allergic reactions can induce an acne attack.

So when you go looking for the right acne cure forum, it is better to use the forum where there are people suffering from problems that are similar to yours. This is because you will be able to discuss similar conditions and problems that you all are going through because of acne.

You also have to understand all information that is propagated through the acne forum. This is to ensure that you don’t try out solutions that will only worsen your problem. Like there are some astringent face creams which cause problems on skin that is more than raw.

Also ensure that the free acne cure forum has an environment that you are comfortable in. this is where you have to state your symptoms, your experiences in your worst outbreaks, problems you have undergone and all the treatment options you have tried.

Remember that many a time, meeting other people and discussing your problems work at getting rid of your problems. The same point is implemented in acne cure forums where you discuss your problems to reach the best solution to treat and cure it.

All about sensitive skin care

sensitive skin care acne
‘Sensitive skin care’ is governed by a few basic rules. However, even before we delve into the rules for sensitive skin care, it’s important to understand what a sensitive skin is. Sensitive skin is one which is unable to tolerate any unfavourable conditions (environmental/other), and which easily gets irritated on contact with foreign materials (including skin care products). For this reason, some products are especially labelled as sensitive skin care products. The degree of sensitivity can however vary from person to person (and depending on that, the sensitive skin care procedures vary too).

Generally, all skin types respond negatively to detergents and other chemical based products. However, the damage starts generally beyond a defined threshold (or tolerance level). This tolerance level is very low for sensitive skin types, leading to skin getting damaged very easily and quickly.  Sensitive skin care products either avoid the potential irritants or keep them at very low concentrations.

Here are a few tips for sensitive skin care:

* Use sensitive skin care products only (i.e. the products that are marked for sensitive skin care only). Also, check the instructions/ notes on the product to see if there are specific restrictions/warnings associated with the product).

* Even within the range of sensitive skin care products, choose the one that has minimum preservatives, colourings and other additives

* Do not use toners. Most of them are alcohol based and are not recommended for sensitive skin.

* Wear protective gloves when doing laundry or other chemical based cleaning.  If you are allergic to rubber, you can wear cotton gloves below the rubber ones.

* Another important tip for ‘sensitive skin care’ is to avoid excessive exposure to sun. Apply sunscreen lotion before getting out in the sun.

* Avoiding exposure to dust and other pollutants is also important for sensitive skin care. So, cover yourself adequately before going out.

* Use hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic moisturizer as a sensitive skin care product (if there is none specifically labelled as a sensitive skin care product)

* Use soap-free and alcohol free cleansers. Cleanse your face whenever you return from spending time out doors.

* Do not scrub or exfoliate too hard. It can cause reddishness and even inflammation.

* Do not leave the makeup on for too long. Use hypoallergenic makeup- removers.

So, sensitive skin care is very different from the normal skin care. Sensitive skin care is more about being careful with your skin (both in terms of sensitive skin care products and protection against environments atrocities on skin).

Are You Using Skin Care Products That are Actually Harming You?

acne skin care products
now that your skin should dictate the products you use? The products that are best for you may also change as your skin changes. Many women find themselves using one set of products in the summer and another set in the winter. Whether your skin is dry, oily or combo, whether acne is a problem, or you are starting to worry about aging – all of those factors are important to consider when selecting skin care products. If you use an acne skin care product and you don’t truly have an acne problem, you are likely over-drying your skin. If you are using products for dry skin and your skin isn’t truly dry, then you are probably creating too much moisture and may start to see some breakouts. If you are using a facial masque that isn’t right for your particular skin you may find your skin is starting to protest by becoming blotchy and irritated. Skin care is such an important part of our health care. Skin care is not just about looking great (although we all want to do that) – skin care is about taking care of our largest organ and keeping it healthy and problem free.

So many women are unsure of what their skin type really is and what products are actually best for them. I see and hear it all the time. Here are just a few pointers to tell help you identify your skin care issues:

1. If your face is oily in the T zone (nose and forehead) and not anywhere else, then your skin is likely combo.

2. If your skin is shiny all over and you need to reapply translucent powder during the day to manage the shine, your skin is oily.

3. If your skin looks dull and you have dry patches (especially around the corners of your nose) and when you put foundation or powder on, your find your skin looks flaky then your skin is dry.

4. Just because you get pimples does not mean you have acne prone skin. If your pores are large, if you have many clogged pores (also known as blackheads) and if you have many small or large blemishes all over your face then you likely have an acne problem. If you get a few breakouts here and there, especially at certain times of the month you don’t have an acne problem. Keeping your skin clean will help, but don’t use a full blown acne treatment.

Take some time to examine your skin – check it both morning and night for a few days, at a few different times of the month and just jot down what you see. Once you’ve accumulated some data from the different times of the day, for a few different days of the month, you can determine what skin type you have.

Get Rid of Acne Fast Or How I Learned to Love My Face

how to get rid of acne
Get Rid of Acne Fast or How I Learned to Love My Face

How could I get rid of my acne faster? I was often looking for this answer as a teenager growing up in the city. “The girls ain’t going to like me with these pimples.” I remember saying to myself. I was hoping someone or something help me get rid of my acne fast. I suffered with this because I could not get rid of my acne fast enough.

How do I get rid of acne fast? If I had this answer growing up in Newark New Jersey in the mid to late 60’s I would have been able to help many kids who also had the same question. Get rid of acne fast was important to not only me but to some of my friends as well.

Dabbing with cotton, Calamine Lotion on my face was a prescription I hoped would help to get rid of my acne real fast. I was in error. The same fate was realized when I used Clearasil an Acne medication. This method did not get rid of acne fast or even slow.

My acne persisted forever it seemed. During my mid to late teen years was when the acne was most severe. I felt gruesome about the way I looked. I would always checking myself out in the mirror to see if some ointment I put on my face was the answer to my question of how to get rid of my acne faster than some other ointment or cream I had used earlier. I suffered during this period in my life. If there was something I could have used that benefited me to help get rid of my acne fast I would done it to get better. I would have jumped at the opportunity.

For reasons no one completely understands, follicles, often called pores, sometimes get blocked. Sebum (oil) which normally drains to the surface gets blocked and bacteria begin to grow. Both whiteheads and blackheads start out as a microcomedone. Either way, blackheads and whiteheads are filled with trapped sebum and bacteria. The treatment advice for how to get rid of blackheads and how to get rid of whiteheads is therefore the same.

If there was a way to get rid of Acne fast some of my buddies and certainly a lot of teenagers I knew would have been very happy. Teenage angst and acne seem to go together.Unfortunately

Try staying away form histamine rich foods such as fish, shellfish, dairy products, milk and cheeses. These foods have caused the skin to be irritated for some people. See what happens after you stop eating these foods for a few days to a week.

Cystic Acne Cure, Tips

acne cure tips
This is a more serious form of acne vulgaris. Papules form the most memorable

reddish bump without pain. The papule should not be confused with an acne cyst

which are much larger usually 6 or more milli-meters across. Those who suffer

with an acne cyst should try to avoid squeezing them. If you do you may make

the infection much worse and much more painful.

The best first step to getting rid of these things is prevention!

Their are some aspects of acne that are not preventable:

Genetics. If you father and mother had it you will more than likely will to.

Make sure to thank them!

Hormones: Mostly during adolescence when the body kicks production of androgen’s

which push oil production into high gear. This can clog up your pores and give

you acne. Also menstrual and birth control pills can cause hormone changes

which can also start an outbreak.

But their are many causes of cystic acne that can be avoided:

Stress, Harsh cleaners, Greasy makeup, squeezing a pimple, and your diet. All

of these influence your chance to get a cystic acne outbreak, so take care to

as they may prescribe you some retin gel or provide a different path of

treatment not mentioned which could help you out a great deal in the war on

cystic acne.

Searching for an Acne Skin Care Product Without Nasty Side Effects?

acne skin care products
Finding an acne skin care product that really works and doesn’t cause uncomfortable side effects is a never-ending battle for many patients. With all of the “miracle” acne medicines that claim to banish your pimples overnight, it’s no wonder consumers are skeptical.

If you frequently suffer from acne outbreaks, there are several topical skin care products available as an alternative to oral prescription drugs. Acne medicine in the form of topical creams or gels generally has fewer and less serious side effects.

What Causes Acne

Acne occurs when a hair follicle becomes clogged and bacteria grow on the surrounding skin. The overgrowth of bacteria causes the skin to become inflamed and the result is acne in the form of pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and boils.

Mild acne can be treated with over-the-counter formulations, but moderate to severe cases call for stronger prescription acne medicine.

Acne Affects All Ages

When someone mentions acne, the first thought that comes to mind is a pimply-faced teenager. But acne is not restricted to this age group. Both young and middle aged adults make up a large percentage of patients who use acne skin care products on a regular basis.

Like teens, adult patients often feel embarrassment and anxiety about their skin’s appearance. Finding an acne medicine that works quickly and prevents future outbreaks is important to acne sufferers of all ages.

Acne Skin Care Tip – Seek a Physician’s Advice

It’s best to seek a dermatologist’s advice before selecting an acne medicine to use over the long term. Some skin care products are effective initially but after extended use they may not produce the same results.

A dermatologist is better qualified than your family physician to recommend an acne medicine that best suits your skin care needs, depending upon the severity and frequency of your acne outbreaks.

Advantages of Topical Creams as Acne Medicine

Some prescription acne medicine in pill form can produce unwanted side effects almost as troubling as the acne itself. In order to avoid these complications, many doctors will prescribe a topical cream instead of oral medications.

These acne skin care creams and gels are often just as effective as skin care pills. Topical skin care products can also be used by patients who may be unable to take prescription pills due to drug interactions.

BenzaClin Topical Cream

BenzaClin topical gel is a prescription acne medicine commonly used to treat mild to moderate acne. Unlike other skin care products that require some time before an improvement is noticed, BenzaClin works quickly to treat skin care problems such as acne vulgaris.

Patients wishing to try BenzaClin can do so without the worry of serious side effects that frequently accompany many oral prescriptions drugs. The most common side effects caused by BenzaClin are usually limited to the skin and may include dryness, redness, or itching in the affected area.

BenzaClin acne medicine is applied to acne outbreaks just twice a day. Its active ingredients include clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide.

Benzoyl peroxide is a well-known acne medicine that reduces both oily skin and inflammation. Clindamycin is a powerful antibiotic that kills the bacteria responsible for acne outbreaks.

Coupled together, these two ingredients are the basis for a potent acne skin care product that is generally well tolerated by most people.

Preventative Skin Care Tips – Recognizing Acne Triggers

In addition to finding an acne skin care treatment that works well for you, it is just as important to know what conditions or substances can trigger your acne outbreaks. Here are some tips to reduce your acne woes:

1. After an acne flare up, do not pick or scratch at the affected area. Doing so can postpone the healing process and lead to scarring. Instead, continue using your prescribed acne medicine or other skin care product until the condition subsides.

2. Don’t over wash or scrub your blemishes. Many acne sufferers think their skin condition is due to poor hygiene. This is not the case. In fact, many acne patients clean or wash their faces too often, which can aggravate the skin.

3. Although no specific foods have been linked to acne, eating a well balanced diet should be part of your overall health and skin care regime. By eating a healthy diet and avoiding an excessive amount of processed foods, you can improve your health as well as limit acne occurrences.

4. Get enough rest. While a good night’s sleep won’t rid your face of pimples, a regular schedule that includes at least six hours of uninterrupted sleep will help your body function better and limit the number of future acne outbreaks.

5. Try not to stress out over acne. Stress is one of the leading causes of acne in adults. To increase the effectiveness of your acne skin care product, try incorporating various stress techniques into your daily routine. Exercise or participate in some other activity that helps take your mind off of your acne.
